Too many single parent women have to bear the full burden of financially caring for their children whilst father's avoid paying. The CSA and CMS are not fully investigating the incomes of father's even when they have been provided with information relating to their work status. I receive £7pw for a 14yr old when the father works full time. I have notified CMS who have done nothing to action this for years. There are arrears of £2k+ still not accounted for by CSA and CMS. This causes severe pressure on single mother's and is grossly unfair. The CSA and CMS and the government need to have harsher penalties such as imprisonment as is the case in the USA. The measures currently in place are not working to support families and children in desperate need. A change needs to happen with immediate effect. Too many father's are getting away with lying about their income and not providing financially for their offspring.
