There is a huge safety concern with the langford parkway 2 lane roundabout and the new elementary (pexsisen) and middle school. With the recent changes to the distance needed in order to catch the school bus ( elementary kids) have to have a travel distance of 4k each way in order to qualify for the school bus. This is leaving kids and parents stuck walking having to try and safely cross this massive roundabout in rush hour traffic, with lots of construction trucks. Very few people pay attention to the flashing light designed  to keep people "safe" there needs to be either a crossing guard or better yet a pedestrian overpass across the road for the kids and family to safely cross before someone looses their life whetherit be a child or their parent protcting them. We need to protect our children, in order to do this we need either the school district 62 to step up or the municipality of langford.
