Paul Thomas Anderson is the strongest living director. His films have a strong fanbase and have been the subject of multiple books. Much in the same way Criterion released the works of Cassavetes and the films of BBS in an informative and well-curated box set, Criterion needs to release all of Paul Thomas Anderson's film in a blu-ray box set. Each film has a surplus of supplements and there are a multitude of film scholars who can provide essays for a full-length book to accompany the box set. This set could wait until the release of his next film -- tentatively titled Soggy Bottom. His first feature Hard Eight has yet to have a blu-ray release and through the Criterion restoration, could be given a beautiful upgrade. C'mon Criterion -- give the best living director the respect he deserves and give us this collection.
