Women experience menstruation every month for one week from roughly the ages of 12 to 50. They are incapable of controlling whether or not they will experience a menstrual cycle; it is almost guaranteed unless certain medical circumstances prevent a woman from menstruation. These products are taxed as a luxury rather than a necessity, accumulating approximately 20 million dollars in annual statewide taxes. Corporations responsible for developing products for women to use during this process have taken advantage of the women's dependency on them. These products are taxed as a luxury rather than a necessity, accumulating approximately 20 million dollars in annual statewide taxes. However, this taxation is relevant, not only to menstruation products, but to a majority of products directed at women altogether.

Through personal experience and/or observation, we have become aware of the mounting prices placed upon feminine products. Based on randomized surveys and prior evidence regarding the bill, we have come to the conclusion that this tax has proved to have a negative impact on loved ones that struggle to afford these necessities during their time of need.
