Many children are alienated away from a parent by another parent. This results in long-term effects on both the child as well as the parent they are alienated against. Under the current Family Law Act, parental alienation is not considered abuse, so many parents suffer at the hand of another, while children are used as pawns. It is time a change is made, the Family Law Courts need to be reviewed, and parental alienation needs to be a punishable offense before more lives are ruined as a result.
