On June 3, 2022, creators of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak confirmed that the noises for Palicos were recorded by actual cats. 

This has been the case for all MH games, and simply put, I believe these fine feline VAs deserve credit for their contributions to the game. In the game, you can customize your Palico's voice, and a simple, cute way to credit them would be to name the option after the cat that provided some aspect of the vocal sample. 

While the article points out that there is a single cat who is responsible for the bulk of the vocal work, at the very least, symbolically naming the cats whose voices are featured would be a good way to thank them for their meows, mrrps, purrs, and growls. 

Adding them to the game credits would also be good, just SHOW THE KITTIES SOME LOVE.
