Make Creation Entertainment Postpone/Cancel TVD conventions

Creation Entertainment is a company with a history of consumer complaints, an F rating by the Better Business Bureau, discrimination against individuals with disabilities and violations of the Consumer Protection Act.
They have two upcoming Vampire Diaries Conventions. One in New Jersey in late September and one in Chicago in mid October. Four stars have already cancelled. In Illinois Covid cases are surging, hospitals are overwhelmed, school children are contracting and being exposed to the virus, and the State Government is looking at further mitigation’s to minimize the spread. Their Supernatural Convention that was to be held soon in Vancouver was postponed due to Covid and Travel Restrictions. Despite a lower Covid rate, higher vaccination rate, a fully opened land, sea and air border and Canada not being placed on Europe’s list of countries that are unsafe to travel to, like the United States is. As the company is US based, this is a clear bias against international customers, as it makes no sense to cancel a Convention that would be safer to attend and continue to host them in areas with surging Covid cases.
As the United States has upheld border and travel restrictions and closures, despite vaccination status, many customers are no longer able to attend as they cannot enter the country through no fault of their own. Requests by international customers for refunds have been outright ignored, or claimed to be sent to the ticketing department who will reach out with options, but never does. Customers who purchased gold packages are now no longer receiving all the services that they paid for, due to star cancellations and no offer to refund the difference between a gold and silver package has been made.
Customers who have called and managed to reach someone have been insulted, called names, hung up on and treated with contempt. No one could have predicted this pandemic, the fourth wave and that travel and border restrictions would still be in place in late 2021. Creation claims the health of their talent and customers are a top priority, but that’s false when they continue to promote and sell tickets to an event that places their customers health at risk. The events that are happening are not what the customers were promised. And despite stating tickets are non-refundable, Creation failed to include a force majure clause in their ticket contract.
Warners Brothers and CBS, as The Vampire Diaries property is popular, continues to bring in revenue for you through streaming, and the third spin-off, I can’t imagine you’d want your popular franchise associated with a company that has already been involved in a class action lawsuit, that they lost. Or a company that treats the fans of your franchise so disrespectfully. It is our hope that if Creation doesn’t recognize the risk involved you do, and will intervene.
Creation Entertainment, build your reputation up to be a reputable company by cancelling or postponing these events until at least 2022, and provide your customers with an option for refunds. The risk of contracting Covid with the Delta Variant being responsible for over 90% of the cases in Illinois is too great-especially for individuals with compromised immune systems. Many of your customers purchased tickets before the start of the pandemic. Most have been financially impacted by the pandemic; many are individuals with disabilities and serious health issues, and are not in a position to lose thousands of dollars for an event they cannot attend due to circumstances beyond their control. I myself, exist on disability and have serious health issues with multiple upcoming surgeries, and high costs to treat these. I’m also fully vaccinated but unable to attend because of the United States Government maintains the northern border closure.
Please sign, help the many individuals that have been mistreated by Creation and help them to receive their hard earned money back for a convention that they can’t attend and due to the many star cancellations and restrictions is not the event they agreed to buy tickets for.
