Some schools have decided to allow students return to in-person/on-ground courses this summer. This is especially concerning for students due to the continued increase in COVID-19 cases. We believe it is of importance for schools to allow students the option to take courses online. Some of us have concerns about spreading the virus to loved ones at home or have children who have not returned to school yet. We don't believe we should have to postpone our graduations and academic plans. This petition was not meant to speak poorly of any school or to discredit those who want to take classes on-ground, we would just like an option for students to take any and all courses online. An online option will decrease the number of students in in-person courses, as well as keep students in classes without being put at risk.
