Where they not trying to get a newer audience to buy comics? Yet they bring back a flash that was dead for decades from a generation that is not what it is today? Guess they just lost the minimal support they needed from the fans they already have. I wonder how many new consumers are actually buying this and if they are even going to change Barry completely because I know little about him but I heard he was kind of boring, but was a great hero for his time.

Wally West is my Flash. You can have all your coy answers about "Wally WHo?" but unless you can personally erase him from my Justice League DVDs he won't be going away.

Because I grew up on Wally West and he deserves a place in the DCNu! You know that Speed Force thingy that was so fundamental to Flashpoint? That was all Wally West baby!

My name is Zack Jolet, and I am 15 years old.

I first got into comics by reading back issues of Mark Waid's phenomenal run on the Flash. I connected with Wally West on a personal, emotional level, and I have faithfully followed him all of these years.

The fact that he's being shelved in order to seemingly force us to accept Barry Allen, a dated and boring character whose revival negates the entire emotional impact of his excellent death in the original Crisis, makes me positively livid. Wally, in just over 20 years, has proven himself to be a worthy successor to the Flash mantle and a hero in his own right, and now we're just supposed to forget all his development and shower Barry with praise and adoration?

Not if I have anything to say about it.

Wally West has always been one of the greatest comics characters ever!!! A hero, a husband, a father.
He was the Flash when I first read a comic book, and then for many years. It was Wally who brought me to DC Comics, to know, prefer and love the DCU than any other.
Please bring him and Jay back!

I've been a fan of comics for a while, and the one thing i always hate to see happen is when justice is not done to a character, and i've seen horrible things done to character's in comics, but i have to say that the shelving of Wally West with no heroic send off, no recognition of what he's done in the past twenty years is disrespectful to the fans who love and read these books, and the writers who've worked hard to make Wally West the hero we've come to love.

Though Wally is my Flash, he does not need to be The Flash. give him a new name and a new series. not knowing how to fit the kids in is not an excuse. not when you've ret-conned Superman's marriage to Lois Lane and Barry's Marriage to Iris.

I love superhero comics and the flash has always been my favorite hero. I would love to buy and enjoy more DC comics, but not if the title holding characters I love reading about are going to be treated like supporting cast members, insignificant enough to be tossed away and replaced.

I first became a fan of the Flash when Wally West first donned the costume. Wally is such a well developed character...surely DC can't be serious about just setting him aside?
