Letter to the County Commission from Concerned Citizens

We represent the majority of citizens who understand the ongoing global health crisis. We mourn the deaths and hope to prevent more human loss.

We support our Crawford County Commissioners who have so far taken a thoughtful and moderated approach to mitigation procedures to protect public safety during this time. We appreciate the calls for masking and social distancing. We have sometimes even wanted your actions to more closely follow protocols and national standards.

We believe in science. We trust in the experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and at the World Health Organization. We refute the idea that these organizations are politicized, and we reject manipulated data from our fellow citizens.

We choose not to come in crowds or as a chanting mob to this meeting but to protect our fellow citizens, quietly, masked, and following science.
