As many of you know Eastman Street in the township of Cranford was closed for a little while and having it closed was great for the community. Many came out with their families to eat, drink, socialize and hear great music. This is what makes Cranford so quaint, bonds made when getting together and celebrating our town. Unfortunately, this was not DOT approved and certain individuals in our community were very upset over this and wrote a formal complaint to the state. We would like the township to please make a plea to the state explaining the importance of this closure to our community. Over the past almost two years our children, friends and families have been isolated and their emotional well being has suffered. The closing of this area and the ability for our community to communicate and enjoy time together has truly helped many people’s emotional well-being, especially our children. As you can see by all these names below we truly wish for you to petition to the state again on behalf of our community. This is not a year round closing just seasonal and rerouting traffic for this short period of time really should not be this major issue.
