From the global pandemic to the new frontier of virtual learning, the class of 2021 has experienced so much change within the last year. Students worked so hard to overcome these obstacles and attempt to enjoy their senior year, and are still hoping to experience covid-safe senior traditions that they watched students before them experience.  The Cranford High School Yearbook Staff has decided to omit having students submit their own senior quotes to be posted under their portraits in the yearbook as it has been done for years and years prior, and have students answer their choice of three prompts instead. Not only is this disappointing for the class of 2021, who have been looking for tradition in this untraditional situation, but it also takes away students’ opportunity to express themselves and leave their own mark to be remembered by their classmates. We are calling upon the Cranford Yearbook Staff to reverse this change and restore the tradition of normal senior quotes for the graduating class of 2021.
