council are creating an unprecedented division of rates across the municipality. If you have lived in the inner west long term why should we be penalised with higher rates than those of our outer fringe neighbors.

Given the increase in house prices the council already gets more revenue under the model. I say freeze rates or even better, decrease them.

I think the rates are already too high and in the 1years we've been in our current house the council has never redone the footpath down the side of our house on Dickens street from bitumen to concrete. In fact the whole street's foothpath is bitumen - where's the current rates money going?
