AC in the Village
AC in the Village
Air conditioning is a basic need that every student at JMU should have access to in their own dormitories. Every freshman student that lives in "the village" only has access to A/C in their respective lounges. This is unacceptable, this is a basic human need in any developed first world country. All dorms across campus for freshmen are equal in price, but not equal in quality. We pay too much in room & board a semester to not have something as basic as A/C. I understand that putting in an A/C unit is a fire hazard, but that should raise another concern. Why do we not have any sprinkler systems throughout our dorms? We have alarms, but if they go off and our building burns down; there goes all our stuff with it. This is ridiculous that nothing has been done so far, but now we can make a change! I, nor any student at JMU should have to take three showers a day just to keep the sweat off.
