Home Depot, help ravaged islands that have supported you!

An Open letter to Craig A. Menear, Chairman, CEO and President of Home Depot

Dear Sir:

The Home Depot has earned a substantial amount of money this past year. During the second quarter of 2017, you earned 28.1 billion dollars. A very impressive amount of money. On August 15, 2017 you stated, “We were pleased with our results this quarter as our customers rewarded us with the highest quarterly sales in company history,”

As you know, Barbuda, Dominica and Puerto Rico were impacted severely by hurricanes Irma and Maria.

According to Fortune, Latinos are responsible for 29% of real income growth in the United States. It stands to reason that we, a segment of your customer base, have contributed to your earnings. In Puerto Rico, alone, you have eight locations.

Clearly, you stand to earn a substantial amount of money as these islands rebuild. We ask that you reciprocate by donating basic construction supplies: wood, nails, concrete to these islands as they are in dire need.

This will not only be a grand humanitarian gesture, but it will put the Home Depot on the map as a leader in community development.

We, the undersigned, respectfully submit this request to you and hope that you will respond favorably to our plea.
