Reintroduce Languages as a subject to CQ University

With the Australian government encouraging students to continue their foreign language studies through to the senior level, (I believe the current goal is to have 20% of Senior students studying a foreign language by 2020) - and with the shortage of language teachers in Queensland high schools, I had hope to pursue my goal of becoming a high-school teacher of Japanese.
Upon investigating the matter, I have been informed that there is currently no university in Queensland where there is an option to study Japanese (or any language) as part of an Education degree, nor is there any intention of having it as an option in the future. I am therefore hoping that Central Queensland University will reconsider re-adding Japanese to the electives being offered, should enough interest in the subject be shown.
Japanese is offered right through to the Senior level at most schools in both the Mackay and Rockhampton regions, and it is still, I believe, one of the most popular foreign languages being studied in Queensland. If CQU were to offer Japanese as another elective it would make studying locally an even brighter option than it is now.
