- CPP survivors pension
Change the legal age of widow.
A widow is defined as a spouse who loses a husband or wife. It is not the governments right to put an age restriction on that term. The only response from the government about the purpose of this law is that someone under 35 should be able to return to work and become self dependent. The argument has nothing to do with the law of age restriction because widows in their 40's and 50's still return to work. Survivors pension is not a disability pension, its designed for widows and has nothing to do with their ability to work.
