I don’t mind paying extra couple cents on my groceries, gas, or taxes if it means these payments will be gone. It’s more than a mortgage payment and the only job offers I get are those entry level ones with less than minimum wage. Why’d I go to school then? Yes, it’s my fault. But this whole system is ridiculous and needs to change. Just like so many other countries out there, tax something and dedicate that towards free education. Why do families have to suffer from drunk drivers? Tax alcohol like no other, and use that money to pay for equal education for everyone. Not saying it’s simple, all I’m saying is there are solutions that the government clearly doesn’t want to implement or at least try.

I signing this petition cause it seems that even though I pay it never goes down, and half the money goes into the interest. We will never be able to pay this off. Stop charging so much interest for so many years.

I'm signing because students have the right to the same protections available to anyone else who is borrowing money. I'm signing because students should not be trapped in debt for their entire lives just trying to pay off the interest on their student loans.
