Cover Manholes in Delhi Before More Lives are Lost

No one want's to do the hard work.
Every year during the rainy season, Manhole 'accidents' becomes a common talk on all news & media not just in Delhi but across India.
Just like every other questionable issue, the authorities start playing the blame game, followed by compensations and ending with promises of being accountable for such incidents. Actions are delayed until the end of monsoons and then indefinitely.
It is surprising how conveniently it is called an accident when it is a death by negligence.
It is the responsibility of the authorities to put the public money into good effect by providing or at least trying to provide safety and security.
I am sure the actual figures of the 'deaths' & 'injuries' of the 'young' and 'old' never see the public's eye. It is tragic to lose a child, husband, friend etc. And it's a shame we can't see any progress taking place.
I request you to sign the petition if you believe that there is a better world where avoidable-mistakes don't cost lives.
If we do have a 'victory' and get to have our voice heard, I believe we can help the authorities with the challenges associated with this mighty task. Helping authorities through a digital medium by reporting the problematic locations can help the authorities for a quick redressal to the problem at hand.
