Since the pandemic many people from numerous states have relocated to Schuylkill County, Pa..  In a panic most paid three to four times above the local fair market value for properties.  Current conditions will distort the tax reassessment unfairly against middle class and poor. Under the current conditions it is likely a reassessment will cause more long term problems such as hardships on local homeowners, rent increases and homelessness.  Moreover,  banks are projecting a recession and laying off mortgage lenders in part due to an inability to determine the honest fair market values of properties.  Due to these real estate distortions it is not possible for the county to accomplish an accurate and fair reassessment of the properties in Schuylkill County at this time as required by law.

Wherefore, "We the people" petition the County Commissioners of Schuylkill County Pennsylvania for the redress of this grievance on behalf of the undersigned to petition the court on behalf of "we the people" for a 24 month stay or until the real estate markets settles and mortgage lenders can establish fair market values prior to conducting a Countywide tax reassessment.
