16732 E Fairview st ( Fairview/Higley) has applied to be a reception/wedding venue with Maricopa County. They have requested a variance or change of zoning for them to be able to host large parties at their home for a fee. These parties will include alcohol, up to 100 cars/ party goers plus staff, extra traffic, restrict turning onto or off of Higley road, a fire/ safety hazard, parking cars in "your" easement, etc. The "trial runs" have led to police calls, fights, drunk walking and yelling in the streets, near accidents, etc.

 If granted, this will also be the gateway for others on the street to do the same (they have plans to do this). With or without the "traffic plan" that 16732 E Fairview  is working on, this will still include many, many, more cars on our street and worries of children or pets being hit, vandalism, drunk driving, loud noise, and other safety issues. The county island is desirable due to the quiet, low key living. Our property values may take a hit if this and other venues are granted variances. Please sign our petition to stop the variance or change in zoning to allow this type of business to be able to operate on Fairview St. Let's keep this a safe place for our families.
