Prioritise Skelmersdale Roads for much-needed repairs.

Dear County Councillor Charlie Edwards, Cabinet Member for Highways & Transport.
For years, the roads in Skelmersdale have been in a state of disrepair. Our estates are full of potholes as the top layer of tarmac has worn away on most cul-de-sacs and estate entrances. This has led to cars being damaged, curb appeal being diminished, cyclists injuring themselves and the sporadic repairs aren't going far enough to solve this issue.
- We ask that a full review is done of all the roads in Skelmersdale and that we are prioritised for urgent repairs.
- We ask that Charlie Edwards, the new cabinet member for Highways, looks into this matter immediately.
Skelmersdale residents deserve much better than to feel ignored and at the back of the list. We'd like to know what plans there are to address these problems and when we will be made a priority.
With more than one cyclist admitted to the hospital after hitting potholes, we really need this issue sorting before we end up with an avoidable fatality in Skelmersdale.
We ask that you show Skelmersdale that our council tax payments do matter and that you will do all your can to ensure Skelmersdale that we will no longer be a forgotten town.
I would be more than happy to meet with our county councillor and yourself to do a walk around Skelmersdale to look at the roads on our estates. Is this something that can be arranged at your earliest convenience?
Many thanks
WLBC Councillor - James Upjohn, Ashurst. Skelmersdale
