Let Franklin U13s play in the Auckland Regionals

BBNZ have stated that they are unable to reverse a decision by an Association. In this case Counties Manukau Basketball are the association that can allow Franklin's U13s to play. We have decided to send the petition to them.

We regret to inform you that for the first time ever, our three U13 Boys and one U13 Girls teams will not be participating in this year's Basketball NZ U13 Regional tournament. Counties Manukau Basketball and Auckland Basketball services have refused our entries due to us being a "club" and this being in conflict with the CMBB Rep program. This decision is unfortunate due to the fact that our own BBNZ association status is pending. While we offered the Counties representative opportunity to our players, many felt this was logistically impossible due to the locations of trainings etc. Our players are committed to Franklin Basketball as this allows them to play for their home region and also made things simple for families to manage attending trainings etc. We are again deeply saddened by the decision made by ABSL, CMBB and BBNZ and are continuing to work to get Franklin Basketball recognised at the highest level. Something our kids deserve.
