Allow Micro-Flocks of Backyard Hens in Port Hope, Ontario

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

Currently backyard hens are not permitted in Port Hope Ward 1. Allowing well-tended and regulated micro-flocks of backyard hens for eggs only, is a big step toward an exciting, progressive, and sustainable future. Hens eat Lyme-disease causing ticks; give folks healthy eggs and fertilizer, destroy weeds and pest insects, and make great companion animals. Help Port Hope go green and get in step with the rest of the world! Backyard hens are permitted in many urban centers, from Paris and London, to New York City, Chicago, LA, San Francisco; Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal, Edmonton, Niagara, and most recently, Toronto...just to name a few!
