We are proposing upgrades to our much loved and utilized Thornlands Dog Park (The Robert Mackie Park). The fencing is in urgent need of fixing. The area around one of the gates is unsafe when it’s been raining. It’s slippery and muddy and difficult to enter when there is wet weather. We would like to propose a concreted area at this particular gate, preferably with double gates to ensure our animals remain safe and restrained on entry and exit to the park. A path leading to the gates from the footpath on Panorama Drive would also ensure the safety of all park users. There is also a water trough for the dogs in the park. The drain is blocked and is now growing algae. We propose that this drain has some work performed on it to unblock it and make the area a safe drinking spot for our dogs.
