Traffic Calming Devices Needed, Yokine.

We need safe volumes of traffic in our street. Moulden Avenue Yokine, from Blythe Avenue to Hector Street, desperately needs traffic calming devices installed by the City of Stirling to help stem the flow of the constant heavy and speeding traffic. With many children living on the street, playing in their front yards, riding bikes and many more walking from neighbouring streets to play at the Moulden Ave Reserve Park, a catastrophe is just waiting to happen. We have already seen a few near misses, it would be devastating to witness a death on our street knowing we could’ve done more.
On a daily basis we bear witness to the speeding traffic exploiting this section of Moulden Avenue as a ‘cut-through’ to avoid the traffic lights at the corner of Flinders St and Blythe Ave. Certainly, it won’t be long before a child riding their bike or crossing the street from the park is hit by a speeding vehicle.
