SAVE 292 and 107 BUS ROUTES

This petition had 1,740 supporters

Hertfordshire County Council is considering slashing £390,000 of bus funding this year, on top of the £1.5m cuts made in 2015. Routes which would be affected 107 Edgware Station - New Barnet Station (via Borehamwood)142 Watford Junction - Brent Cross Shopping Centre258 Watford Junction - South Harrow Station292 Borehamwood Rossington Avenue - Colindale Asda Store298 Potters Bar Cranborne Road - Arnos Grove Station These routes are well used by local residents to go to work and school or going shopping. Cutting them will mean more cars on our already busy roads, and real hardship for people without their own car. The council pays the money to Transport for London (TfL) to support services in and out of Hertfordshire. According to Herts County council there are 479,370.dwellings in Hertfordshire.  All you need would be any extra 82p to the council tax to cover the £390,000: http://atlas.hertslis.org/IAS/profiles/profile?profileId=81&geoTypeId=16&geoIds=26  NB 23% people living in Borehamwood (2011) have no access to a car or a van.  Our Target is  1000 signatures
