I have recently moved into the area (Grosvenor Drive, Loughton) about 6 months ago and found people are tearing down our street at all hours of the day. We have a few schools in the area and many parents walking little kids across this street. When I am home it is amazing the speeds people are travelling down this quiet side street. Basically it feels like they use Grosvenor Drive as a race track because it does not have speed humps to avoid Chester Road.

I don’t mind if the road is busy but feels like it is unsafe at the speeds they are travelling and would like to suggest reducing our street to a safer 20mph zone which would be more appropriate. I believe by signing this e-petition we will be able to get our local councilor to act for the safety of our children and locals in the area. The road is also in a bit of disrepair in parts so hopefully this speed reduction will help mitigate further deterioration to the road surface.
