Petition update

Thanks to your support we now have 1800 signatures. Here's 3 other important things to do.

End Of the Road LE3

Mar 24, 2018 — 1. Comment on the Putney Road scheme which is open for consultation now. In the bid to the Department of Transport for this scheme it mentioned that if the Putney Road scheme bid was successful it would make the Evesham Road scheme more viable: Link below or maybe better to write to planning.policy@leicester.gov.uk as the layout of the consultation makes it quite hard to highlight objections

2. Write directly to the planning department stating your objections to the Evesham Road Link as an emerging option in the draft Local Plan transport section which was open to consultation up until December 2017. There is an image attached of the page and paragraph you need to quote. Although the consultation has closed, the planning department will consider any further comments which will be considered alongside correspondence and comments already received. At a meeting with planners recently they stated that they were surprised they hadn't received more objections so please, please do write to planning.policy@leicester.gov.uk or write a letter to Stewart Maxwell, Planning Department, Leicester City Council.

3. Liz Kendall, MP for Leicester East has written to residents about their thoughts on the road so she is aware and wanting the views of local residents to the potential road - please write to her at her office 42 Narborough Road, Leicester LE3 0BQ or liz.kendall.mp@parliament.uk

Thanks everyone and we will keep people posted on developments.
