I have a fear about our future, so much to a point where sometimes I feel like I want to give up.  But I can't and I won't.  Right now I am calling on my fellow Staten Islanders, specifically kids under 18, who want a better future for our Island and our planet as well as all life forms who live on it.  

As we have seen with Hurricane Ida, the storms that are happening will be much more dangerous and will bring about more destructive weather patterns and side effects such as: Flash Flooding; Salt Water Intrusion; Damage to Homes and Properties; A significant threat to Public Health and Safety as well as the Psychological and Physical Trauma these will causes.  And this only pertains to storms that we have seen, imagine what is coming! Anything is possible when you are talking about Global Warming and Super Charged Natural Disasters. 

We can make a change! We have a chance to be heard! By signing this petition we will let the Staten Island Legislature know that the Children of Staten Island are committed to learning more about what they can do to slow the effects of Global Warming and work towards making our Island a clean and sustainable place to live. Working toward making Earth healthier for the future.
