Fact: Multiple felony cases have been thrown out due to Sheriff and department misconduct.

Fact: Hundreds of thousands of dollars are paid out in lawsuits for misconduct by the Sheriff and department. 

Fact:  Sheriff Krebs lied under oath in the most recent camera manipulation case. 

Fact: Perjury is a crime and should be investigated and, if warranted, prosecuted. 

Fact: The highest law enforcement officials in the county should be removed from office and issued a Brady letter if found to have committed perjury. 

Fact: No officer with a Brady finding should be allowed to work in San Juan County. No other reputable agency in the Country will hire a Brady violation officer, we should not have to settle for less. 

This petition demands an outside investigation and prosecution.  It also demands the county council create a policy of law prohibiting the hiring and employment of law enforcement officers who have Brady violations.
