For many years Council Rock North and South students wore two colors to senior graduation. Boys wear navy blue and girls wear white. Council Rock has implemented a new rule that every person has to wear a navy blue cap and gown to graduate. This rule came into action for gender equality. What I am proposing is that seniors from both Council Rock North and South can chose to wear either the white or blue cap and gown to graduation. The color scheme of graduation was chosen to represent the school colors and has nothing to do with gender. Girls and boys should be able to chose the gown color they identify with or would like to wear. Hopefully this petition will be brought to the eyes and ears of the school board as many people want to change this new rule. Thank you.
