We, the citizens on Europe understand that we live in unprecedented times and we are the ones who need to defend our democracies.

The only peaceful way left to us to do so is to impose the hardest sanctions possible on the Russian economy that finances its war machine and aims at bringing us back to an era where it was acceptable for a nation to invade an other just because it has bigger muscles.

Allowing this to happen in Ukraine will unmistakably send the signal to other autocracies and dictatorships throughout the world that they can do the same.

We have the power and duty to change that by accepting the fallout on our economies.

We agree to sacrifice comfort and purchase power in order to sanction the Russian regime and isolate it on the world's economic stage.

Let out politicians know that we will have them in higher esteem if they impose those sanctions and they must not fear a populist revolt against higher gas or oil prices as well as other industrial goods.
