I would like the government to impose a law to  all major supermarkets that automatically ban entry of plastic packagings from suppliers that want to display their products on supermarkets’s shelves unless the product packagings can be fully recyclable. We need to speed up the process of being able to make a quicker impact in saving our planet as I strongly believe we are running out of time. Actions are needed from all of us. We need to speed up changes in every direction. Let’s start at the source of one of a problem which is food packaging. I am calling to all the suppliers to find other ways to do their packagings. If goods are to be displayed  on supermarkets’s shelves then it has got to be 100% recyclable or the supermarkets will automatically refuse to display the goods from suppliers that don’t comply with it. We, people have got the power to make this happen by putting pressure to the government to pass a law. By forcing suppliers to change their packaging quicker, only then change can start to happen. We need to carry on recycling but also we need to eliminate drastically the non recyclable products that STILL  get trashed in the recycling bin by thousand of people and therefore make the quantity of recycled garbage pretty much useless to be recycled. All this effort in sorting out what is recyclable, i.e the transportation from bin lorries to recycling centres etc.. for only a small percentage that can actually be recyclable is so frustrating. So let’s put more pressure to eliminate the non recyclable packagings that is found in our shopping isles, for example in so many fruit and vegetables products and ask the government to put pressure to all the giant supermarkets names out there. Let’s Great Britain lead the way and start “the ball rolling”.  Maybe other countries will then follow our example.
