It's 2020 and Antisemitism is making a resurgence around the globe -- especially in the European Union (EU).

While Holocaust denial and Antisemitic hate speech is illegal in the EU, one form of seemingly acceptable hate speech has emerged: Parade floats in festivals in Spain and Belgium making a mockery of Nazism, the Holocaust, and the dehumanization of the Jewish people.

Over the years, these Antisemitic parade displays have been well documented and condemned by various diplomats and lawmakers. The Aalst Carnival in Belgium even lost its distinction as a UNESCO cultural site in 2019.

Nevertheless, these horrifically offensive, hurtful, and damaging floats persist. And year after year, the EU condemns them.

Enough is enough. It is time for the EU to step up and ban Antisemitic imagery in parades by condemning it as illegal hate speech

It was only 75 years ago that the world saw evil on a massive scale in the murder of 6 million Jews at the hands of Nazi Germany. As millennia-old Antisemitic tropes are revived and a new wave of white supremacy becomes emboldened across the globe, Antisemitism continues pose a real threat to the Jewish people. To fight this unique threat, we need to be diligent in our quest for Zero Tolerance of Anti-Jewish Hate Speech.

Let's not normalize hate in the name of "fun."

Join me in telling the EU enough is enough: BAN Antisemitic imagery in parades and name such displays illegal hate speech.
