36 Hours and 75000 signatures
Nov 21, 2015 — Good evening,
first of all , thank you for signing.
We have reached 75000 people in 36 hours!!!
The IPSC groups and Firearms United in Poland and Germany have been doing great work.
Several online magazines and groups picked up and linked the petition.
Last but not least we just got recommended on the Facebook page of Polish politician and writer Janusz Korwin-Mikke. 733000 followers, let's hope they all sign.
So far, the good news.
Unfortunately , 75000 is but a small number compared to the size of the EU. There are 500 Million + people in the EU and we have to reach more of them.
What can you do?
- Contact your politicians, regional, national, and EU level.
Ask them to back up the cause and post the petition on social media. They have the following to get us the attention we need.
- Write a letter to the elected Members of European Parliament for your country.
Paper, enveloppe, stamp, do it old school
Bags of letters in their office do more then an email!!
- Talk to people about this, make them aware of what is happening. Go outside your usual circles and make sure everybody understands that it is still an issue, even if perhaps they are not affected right away.
A supporter from France sent me this (Thanks Francois)
"First they came for the B4 guns, and I did not speak out—
Because I didn't have any B4 guns.
Then they came for the B1 guns, and I did not speak out—
Because I didn't have any B1 guns.
Then they came for the C guns, and I did not speak out—
Because I already sold my C guns.
Then they asked me to give them my D guns—
and there was no one left to speak for me..."
I could not illustrate it any better then this.
Explain to them :
Hunters, Airsofters, Airgun shooters, Militaria, pistol shooters.
'You may not have a Semi Automatic Rifle , and thus might not be affected now.
But who do you think they will come after once they nailed the Riflemen to the cross? That's right, you will be next.
You cannot afford to stand by and ignore this.'
Talk to everybody, even non shooters.
Post this petition online:
comments of the news blogs
forums and BBS's
Even offline, hang out a notice at your shooting club
We need to push hard on this, because right now, the EU is pushing harder. Do not delay, time is not on our side!!!
Good luck, Good Shooting,
Keep fighting for people power!
