It’s 2021 and women are STILL struggling to afford childcare, because of this women are deciding to not return to work because it’s easier financially.

We as women shouldn’t have to choose between having/ raising a family or a career. Yet the government make it so hard and virtually impossible for us to have both. I personally want to go back to work for my own sanity and to do something for me. 
I know there are people that receive free childcare hours but these aren’t offered to those who in my opinion need it the most. Women that CHOOSE not to work receive free childcare, where is the logic in this?

They don’t work and don’t attempt to work so why do they need childcare? They are literally sat at home all day UNEMPLOYED with plenty of time to look after their own child. Now I’m not discriminating against people who actually can’t work, disabilities, full time carer, single parent and for many other reasons. I am in fact highlighting those who abuse the system. Surely the government would want women to return to work to put money back into our economy and not sit at home and claim every benefit going? And then they wonder why the country is always in financial difficulty? 

Its about time something changes and the government help those who truly need it and crack down on the ones who are just using and abusing government money.  

I know I am not the only stressed out Mum that’s wanting a healthy work/ life balance, so please let’s stand together and let’s try and make a change!
