Our beautiful community trees are being replaced with bad looking new ones. People come to live in Boroondara because of these trees. Now they’re being replaced. Most of these trees have been planted between 1920 and 1940 and they are part of our history. The council is also ruining beautiful boulevards that people enjoy walking down. Some of these trees are older then we are. If our council think that removing beautiful looking trees will make them better then they are wrong. You can’t just replace things. The new streets look ugly, if the council only realise that when they’re done it will take years to fix. I truly think that these trees shouldn’t be taken down. Taking these trees down will make people unhappy and angry. We don’t want this to happen, we don’t need this to happen, and it shouldn’t be happening.
