Friends of Woodcock Park have enabled a new larger Children's Playground opposite Uxendon Manor.

The children now need / would greatly benefit from, an educational Hub-Cafe with two Self-Cleaning toilets.  The toilets would be for all those who use the park daily, including in winter, to do so safely and to learn about the environment; connecting to their local river that runs right through the park, making its way into the Brent and on to the Thames.

Ten years' of campaigning and partnership working with Brent Council, all the local schools, has seen major improvements to this neglected park but we still have no toilets or cafe for this ever increasingly busy park. The Primary school has expanded located next the Woodcock park.  We now have multiples of deprivation in the area;  five special needs units, low cost elders accommodation and a hospice. Our adult speciality / remit is to support those with disability and terminal illness as well as  bringing the next generation into contact with the environment.   We also work with  Local Community libraries to support after-school initiatives.  Our local community library is not big enough to contain a dedicated environmental support and study-space.  So we need this hub for the children who will attend from the three local primary schools and two secondary schools in the immediate area.

Thank you for signing, we need as many as possible to show you are out there !
