I hope there is a better solution than cutting down mature trees

Trees not cars. Kids should be riding to school.

It would be devastating Tom lose this green space and so many trees planted by the school children's and the large mature pine trees. My son goes to this school and we love oppposte th school, it means a lot to have green space and not more cement in our environment . There are other solutions to this rather than destroying bushland next door to the school and railway. Please reconsider asap!

This is not solving a problem, it is creating a larger problem. Our car culture is too powerful. Parents and kids needs to build in the time to walk or ride to school. Everyone would be better off.
We have walked to school with our kids for 9 years now.
For those that live more than 4km away a partial solution may be to implement a 'kiss and drive' , no parking required.

I work went to school and lived at Menigie and have seen and heard of many changes to the river lakes and coorong. We have no need to grow cotton or rice in Australia. Our rainfall is not made for it .wake up QLD NSW

We have just lost 30 Jacaranda trees where I live in Queens Park - with no explanation to residents. This combines with the razing of 100 year old trees on blocks being developed for units - disgusting!

Perth needs its green space!! And it's home to thousands of birds which come here every night. It's an iconic and beautiful part of Cottesloe and shouldn't be another victim to development.

Save the trees and money. Why doesn't everyone just walk to school.
