Employees of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital have access to many patios around the hospital grounds, while patients are denied the access to life giving sunshine and fresh air of just one of the patios.

The taxpayer patient helped build the beautiful new additions, they should have the privilege of enjoying the serenity the patios offer while recovering from illness.

The excuse the patient relations is offering is "if we let one patient access, we'll have to let everyone," and "not enough staff to allow that." Poor excuses indeed. 

The patients need the sunshine and fresh air as part of their health plan. Daily exposure has been proven to greatly increase recovery statistics.
