Stop selling Chinese-made chicken jerky dog treats
This petition had 317 supporters
Chinese-made chicken jerky dog treats constitute a health hazard to dogs. As late as November 21, 2011, the FDA warned pet owners not to give their dogs these treats. There have been reported cases of dogs having Fanconi Syndrome-like symptoms, kidney failure or even death from these treats. This petition is being placed to urge Costco to stop carrying these treats and look for alternatives actually made in America!
http://www.askavetquestion.com/news/2011/chicken-jerky-fanconi/ I am posting a veterinarian's website that shows the FDA caution against these treats. Unfortunately, the FDA cannot pinpoint what the problem is, so they cannot launch a full recall on the Kingdom Pets treats sold by Costco or any other chicken jerky treat made in China and distributed in the US.
