Every year hundreds of thousands of rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, cats and dogs are subjected to cruelty involved with testing personal care, cleaning and cosmetic products. Though 1,100 companies have banned animal testing, some companies still use cruel testing methods that are outdated and unnecessary. Innocent animals experience painful tests that often leave them with chronic infections, ulcers and blindness. Not to mention the fact that these animals are in kept in tiny cages for the majority of their lives which would cause extreme boredom and severe emotional stress.
Cosmetics testing on animals is banned in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, and the European Union has agreed to phase in a complete ban on all testing of cosmetics on animals but the United States and Australia (among other countries) need to catch up!
With alternative testing methods available and many companies already banning animal testing, there is absolutely no reason for these companies to continue to perform unnecessary and painful tests on innocent animals.
We need to put the pressure on and urge these companies to STOP testing on animals! consumer pressure = change!
This petition will be sent to the top companies who test on animals. Please sign so that these companies can see that we as consumers do not want to support this and that there is a demand for cruelty-free products.
Procter & Gamble, Avon, Uniliver, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, Johnson & Johnson and L'Oreal Paris are some of the largest cooperations that test on animals but to see a larger list of companies who test on animals and companies who DO NOT test on animals... see here: http://www.thekindlifestyle.com/p/cruelty-free-beauty-brands.html this petition will be sent to the list of companies that test on animals on this page.

Companies have no reason to change if consumers are okay with this. We have power as consumers and we can demand that they stop testing on animals. Our dollar is our vote!
I am disappointed to learn that your company tests products on animals and I have made the decision to no longer use, buy or recommend your products.
While I understand that proving safety of your products is necessary, animal testing is both cruel and unnecessary in 2012. We are lucky enough to live in a time where fantastic alternatives for proving safety of products are available and I am happy to support companies who use these alternative testing methods instead.
Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK have already banned testing on animals and The European Union is also phasing in a complete ban on cosmetics testing on animals.
There is no need to conduct painful outdated tests on animals when alternatives are available. I urge you to please reconsider your company policy on animal testing in order not to lose consumers who do not want their money funding animal cruelty.
