Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris: Speak out against the blockade of Gaza

0 have signed. Let’s get to 10,000!

The U.S.-backed Israeli-Egyptian blockade of Palestinian civilians in Gaza continues, producing a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, denying Palestinian civilians the right to travel, the right to work, the right to study, the right to drink clean water. The 2018 Freedom Flotilla to Gaza is currently traveling through Europe, in preparation for its departure from Europe to Gaza in late July.
Democratic Senators Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Kamala Harris had a perfect opportunity to speak out about the Gaza blockade, yet they failed to do so.
These three key Democratic Senators remained silent on May 16 instead of joining Bernie Sanders and 12 Democratic Senators in calling on Secretary of State Pompeo to address Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, including by opposing the blockade on Palestinian civilians. In addition to Sanders, the letter was signed by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Thomas Carper (D-Del.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Tom Udall (D-N.M.), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.) and Edward Markey (D-Mass.).
Booker, Gillibrand, and Harris are key because they are the leading semi-declared candidates of the Democratic Establishment for the Democratic nomination for President in 2020. To move U.S. policy towards the Palestinians, we have to move the Democratic Establishment. To move the Democratic Establishment, we have to move Booker, Gillibrand, and Harris.
Press Booker, Gillibrand, and Harris to speak out against the Gaza blockade by signing our petition.
