Ma Cala started this petition to Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos

There’s a humanitarian crisis of the State powers over human rights in Colombia right now. Civilians who are exercising their right to assembly and protest are being massacred, sexually abused and arrested with no charges. Victims balance from April 28th to May 3rd and counting.

Using social media and other methods of communication, Colombians have been posting the national flag upside down as a call for help against an oppressive government that uses force to shut down the voice of the people.

Entire families mourn the loss of loved ones, who bravely marched the streets of major cities across the country trying to reaffirm their rights as Colombians and as human beings, but never made it back home because of the violent repression extended from the police force and the ESMAD.

With this petition I want to bring upon my home country the attention of the Corte Interamericana de los Derechos Humanos and any other human right organization with the power to help my fellow countrymen and women, and hold accountable the men and women that are actively trying to silence those who speak against the violence and corruption that runs rampant in Colombia.

Please sign and spread awareness!
