Why this petition matters

James Moss is a Cadet in Company A-1. SInce his first day in the Corps he has been one of the most Redass cadets of his class and in the Corps as a whole. Recently he has been informed that due to not meeting all of the fitness requirements he is going to be removed from the Corps of Cadets. Needless to say, this cannot happen. Moss had been striving for excellence and has been working tirelessly to make himself better not only mentally and physically. His fish year Moss made excellent progress in his fitness and showed tremendous mental fortitude that not many in his position would show and has become an amazing cadet. As a pisshead, he has grown even more like a cadet and a leader stepping into this amazing role with grace. Lastly, Moss is a source of joy and laughter for all those who meet him. He never fails to bring a smile to our faces and it is always a joy to spend time with him. He has grown so much as a man and a person and it is an honor to see that growth that the corps has been able to provide to turn him into the man he is and it will be amazing to see the man he has yet to become. He is well known around the Quad and makes a great effort to whip out to as many people as he can. It is an honor and privilege to be his friend and the Corps would be making a massive mistake if they were to kick him out without giving him a chance to get his fitness within the standard. Instead of kicking him out, Moss should be given the chance this semester to work hard and take the Corps PT test at the end of the year to determine if he is allowed to stay in the Corps or not. Moss was not informed how this most recent PT test would affect him and was suddenly notified that he will have to leave the corps. This is unfair and did not give simple ample time or warning to prepare. I believe that Moss should be able to go through this Spring 2021 semester in the Corps and be given one more chance to take the PT test knowing the consequences before he is removed. It would be a great injustice to remove and dedicated cadet such as James Moss and as a Corps, we should do what we can to help and support one of our own.
