Stop Forcing our Children to Walk Dangerous Roads to Get to School!!

This petition made change with 459 supporters!

The council have decided it is safe for this years year 7 intake to walk the narrow, unlit, dangerous route to Sir James Smith School from Delabole and other surrounding villages. There are spaces on the current buses which come to these villages, however as it falls over the 3 mile cut off for free transport parents have to either find £240 for a bus pass or the children have to walk.

These children are expected to walk along unlit roads, with poor visibility, poor road conditions during adverse weather & during winter months they will be expected to walk in the dark.
