A rum distillery is no replacement for a place that provides much entertainment for many. There is no other race track in Cornwall and consequently it needs to stay at all costs.

The race facilities gave been there long before the " NIMBYs"
People need this type of activity. It gives people a focus, generates business in the wilder community, ( car spares suppliers, clothing for the sport and many other sources of review into the local and wider spread businesses.

It's a part of our life especially my family who has been at or used this track for the past 50 years, it's a big part of our Cornish Racing heritage. So it must stay .

Although I may not be local my family and I (whom are all involved in motorsport) have spent many holidays in the County and make a point of always going to United Downs.
My eldest son even helping paint a caravan for caravan chaos.
This place should be supported and promoted by the Cornwall council not closed. Surely they must be a better available alternative that is unused rather than destroy United Downs.
This place provides grass roots motorsport and even has junior stock car racing. So development of kids as well.
You should be developing this into Cornwall's own dedicated racing centre.
