Steve Hadley started this petition to cornwall council

The community of St Stephen in Brannel are at their wits end with the continuous disregard for the speed limits in place around our village.

With countless near misses, at least 3 cases of people being struck by cars and now a second property within the space of 2 months on the same road being crashed into causing extensive damage.

The residents have become sick of this anti-social behaviour and feel it’s only a matter of time until we see a fatality in our village before any action is taken.

The reason for this petition is to be proactive rather than reactive to a potential and quite likely scenario where someone’s life will be taken where simple yet effective measures could have been taken to prevent it happening.

We would urge you to sign our petition before it’s too late ! It could be any one of us, walking to the shop, putting your bins out, working in your front garden or going to the playing fields or the pub or the chippy all everyday things we should feel safe doing.

I personally have only been in the village 4 years but this is not just a recent issue it’s been ongoing for years !

Please Please join this petition and let’s make a change once and for all.
