Petition against Cell tower in Cornville!
Petition against Cell tower in Cornville!
I am concerned local to the verde valley, I am against a proposed 100 ft - approx 10 story high cellular tower whose permitting with Yavapai County was this week endorsed by our Cornville Community Association. I am against this measure due to a visual obstruction to my property with unforeseen health affects to myself, children and local residential community. I do not want this tower placed in this area or anywhere near our community. I live in this area to have peace, nature and health, not to be connected consistently with technology.

The cell tower is proposed for placement directly behind lower Crazy Tony's and the P.O. Office.
Lower Crazy Tony's and the Mercantile is a heavily trafficked commercial area and one of Cornville's denser residential zones. This means almost all of us will be repeatedly and so chronically exposed to very high nonionization radiation levels and electro-magnetic fields at close range as we pick up our mail, do our Mercantile or Crazy Tony shopping, fill our water bottles, visit storage or recycle, or, soon enough, want to enjoy the patio of the coming mead brewery.
Many of our neighbors who live in the immediate neighborhood will be exposed 24/7 with all the known health complications continuous and chronic exposures to cell radiation trigger in the body: spikes in blood pressure, headaches, cognitive fatigue and muscle weakness, sugar metabolic imbalances, disrupted sleep, acidity. Over time: increased rates of cancers, heart attacks, panic-anxiety and other brain chemistry imbalance conditions. We would never say yes to placing a high wattage power line in that spot for these same sorts of radiation induced health issues.
Several homes sit up on the canyon side or directly across the river on south and north Aspaas, facing the proposed location more or less at eye level (think heart and brain level, electrical organs!). Two considerations: firstly, limestone bounces back high frequencies as the super interesting study of ancient Greek amphitheatre acoustics demonstrated, cited in the discussion area below (along with other pertinent research). This means folks in the homes between the canyon walls and the would be tower would live in complete harmonics chaos 24/7 as electromagnetic waves crash back and forth against each other. Folks living directly across the valley floor at eye level would also be in the strongest emissions' pathways. You see electromagnetic waves are directional. Much like a boat in the sea they forge pathways to and from and in between towers and towers and cell phones (think Purple Sage tower sadly placed at the school). These paths like a boat generate compression waves in their wake. To live smack in the signals and their choppy compression waves is as harmful to biological processes in the body and biological life at large as working or visiting in close proximity to such a cell tower regularly. We are rural still - we can be smart about where a tower is placed!
Lastly and even more importantly because sentient life cannot advocate for itself, the proposed location would be some 200-300 feet from the as yet incredibly pristine and unpolluted riparian wildlife sanctuary of Oak Creek and the planned 80 acres expansion of Windmill park. Did you know that birds and bees and trees, just like us human beings, utilize what researchers call "the molecule of life", this amazing protein molecule called porphyrin whose job it is to regulate body voltage so that blood and other vital cells can uptake oxygen at needed levels? This amazing molecule is what makes our blood richly red, allows birds and bees to burn all the energy (oxygen) they need to do what they must do to keep God's creation magnificent, and gives trees and plant life what that kingdom needs to regulate oxygen/carbon monoxide breathing and produce brilliant, healthy green chlorophyll. Oxygen detoxifies, too! Exposure to high levels of radiation, especially pulse radiation, disables this molecule. This is why in the wake of turning on 4G cell towers in the pristine riperian corridors of the Rhine valley in Germany thousands of birds fell out of the sky, with cardiopulmonary/oxygenation issues. Bee colony collapse is now attributed to radiation exposures, along with other factors.
The thing is that once a cellular tower goes up, it doesn't come down. This is why this proposed placement of the most powerful cellular tower to date in our area should be taken cautiously and seriously by all of us. We cannot be blind to these dangers and risks. We must take advantage of the unique opportunity as an as yet unpolluted rural community to solve the problem of cellular coverage issues responsibly and wisely. We have in the Verde Valley accomplished EMF radiation experts we could and must for example, consult with such as Summer R. Egland and William Holland.
I personally am reaching out to the Yavapai County Planning and Zoning on their Citizen Serve portal to voice these concerns and encourage those of you who recognize these very real, practical dangers of the proposed placement do too. In the discussion below I offer links to scientific and medical research that corroborate the claims above, including the very cool study of the limestone walls and seats of Greek amphitheatres retaining acoustic frequencies above 500 hz.
